Have A Look At Japanese Trade Market

The land of rising sun, Japan, is among the most beautiful countries of the world. This Far East Asian country is made up of islands that are full of mountains and volcanoes. But, in spite of all this, Japan has a booming economy and is all set to become the economic super power of Asia. Japanese trade market is among the best trade markets of the world and Japan has trade relations with most of the developing countries around the globes.

The trade market of Japan depends heavily on carry trade. This is a peculiar kind of trade that is very profitable for the Japanese people. The carry trade does not requires goods to be traded rather it is the trading of currency. The carry traders sell the currencies that have low interest rates and then buy those that have high interest rates. This way they make money from the interest rate differences. However, this trading involves a lot of risk.

This trade was very beneficial for Japan and the traders got full support from the government of Japan, so it was a win-win situation for both. Due to the downfall in the trade market, the Central bank interest rate of Japanese Yen was 0% and even now it is 0.5%. This was because the Japanese government wanted to help those companies that were not doing well. This created a very favorable condition for the carry traders. They can easily sell the Japanese Yen and make profit.

In spite of taking such measures, the trade market of Japan has suffered huge losses in the last 12 years. The stock market has crashed from 38,000 to 8,000 which is a 75% loss. This is a huge loss in terms of money as well as in terms of market reputation. The impact of this downfall shows on the economy of every Asian country as they are all having trade relations with Japan.

The drop in the trade market of Japan, is due to one basic reason. This was the mistake of the bankers who were trying to earn via fraudulent means. They also did not revalue the stocks. Since the Japanese banks do not require evaluations at every reporting time so they were able to escape easily. The investors kept selling the Japanese stocks as they knew this loophole. These stocks were worthless and fake.

So, it can be concluded that Japanese trade market has great growth prospects, provided it takes strict measures to stop this corruption. Being a key ally to US is very beneficial for its growth and its effect is clearly visible in its economy.
